1. Terms

By accessing this School, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms of Use, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site. The materials contained in this School are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.

2. Use License

Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of any downloadable materials on the School’s website for personal, non-commercial use only, specifically for individual training and for inclusion in your personal demo reel.

This license is a limited grant of rights, not a transfer of ownership. Under this license, you may not:

  • Modify, redistribute, or copy the materials, except as permitted for demo reel use.
  • Use the materials for any commercial purpose, client work, or as part of any paid product/service.
  • Use the materials for any public instructional purpose, including but not limited to creating tutorials, training, workshops, classes, YouTube/Vimeo breakdowns, or teaching others.
  • Share, sell, or otherwise distribute the original project files, assets, renders, or footage in any form.
  • Attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on the School’s website.
  • Remove any copyright or proprietary notices from the materials.
  • Transfer the materials to another person or “mirror” the materials on any other server.

2.1 Specific Workshop & Asset Restriction

This applies in particular to The Dragon Workshop (and all similar Compositing Academy workshops):

  • You may use the provided footage, CG renders, project files, and training materials only to create shots for your personal demo reel.
  • You may not use any footage, assets, or renders for instructional content (tutorials, YouTube videos, classes, or training others).
  • You may not use the footage, assets, or renders in any commercial work, advertising, or client-facing project.
  • You may not share the raw assets, project files, or original materials with others in any form.

2.2 Individual License Limitation

The license granted under these Terms of Use is intended for individual use only. It is not permissible for multiple users within a company, school, or organization to share access or use a single license. Each individual requires a separate license. Entities must purchase directly for each individual user.

This license will automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions, and may be terminated by Compositing Academy at any time. Upon termination, you must destroy all downloaded materials in your possession, whether electronic or printed.

3. Disclaimer

The materials on the School’s website are provided “as is”. The School makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties, including without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property.

The School (Compositing Academy) does not guarantee “lifetime access” to courses.

4. Limitations

In no event shall the School be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials, even if the School or an authorized representative has been notified of the possibility of such damage.

5. Revisions and Errata

The materials may include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. The School does not warrant that any of the materials are accurate, complete, or current, and may make changes at any time without notice.

6. Links

The School is not responsible for the contents of any linked site. Use of any linked site is at the user’s own risk.

7. Site Terms of Use Modifications

The School may revise these Terms of Use at any time without notice. By using this website you are agreeing to be bound by the current version of these Terms.

8. Governing Law

Any claim relating to the School’s website shall be governed by the laws of the School Owner’s home jurisdiction without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

9. Refund Policy

There are no refunds on Compositing Academy courses.

10. Sharing Policy

  • You may not share or distribute any project files, footage, or course assets.
  • You may not record or re-package assets into video form for distribution.
  • You may publicly display work created with the assets only as part of your personal demo reel, and not as instructional or commercial content.
  • Use of any CG renders, footage, or project files for commercial purposes requires separate written permission outside of this agreement.
